STEP BY STEP RETAILING GUIDE ON WHATSAPP

Although there are many retailers selling products on WhatsApp and other platforms already. You can also sell items or products even if you don’t have the products physically. You may not even have a store or warehouse. 

STEP 1. CREATE  A BROADCAST MESSAGE.

You can create a broadcast message and send to about 256 contacts at a go. This message should be short, easy to read but detailed. I personally send periodic messages and direct messages.

Introduce yourself in the message, talk about what you sell, and inform them that they should add you to their contacts as you have a lot of products and services that will interest them.

STEP 2. SAVE THE BROADCAST LIST FOR THE FUTURE.

What you do not want to do is to abuse the broadcast list. Just like how email messages are “spammed”, they may block your broadcast if they think you are disturbing them. So I’d advice you to send brief but detailed messages. This is your potential client list. Respect them. 

Send messages weekly or biweekly. Send them periodic (Christmas, valentine, black Friday,) offers, etc. about products you have. Include link if possible. 

STEP 3. SHARE AND RESHARE YOUR CONTACT.

Since you must have more and more contacts, the quick and easiest way you can achieve that is by sharing your chat link with your friends to reshare for you. This is quick and fast.

STEP 4. ALWAYS POST ITEMS ON YOUR STATUS.

From step 1, you may have some people that will respond to your broadcast. Having saved their contacts they qualify to view your status. This is where your marketing begins. Always post  products on your status. Whiles you post these items on your status, always check how many views you are getting per item. if your views are small, REPEAT STEP 3.

STEP 5. MAKE YOURSELF A MIDDLEMAN.

You must have vendors who posts things on their status or posts. Whether images, videos, or texts. This have to be things you will want to sell to those viewing your status as well. Get enough information from the actual vendors about the products. Details like price, quantity, delivery options, how long delivery takes, where the products are from etc. 

This is where you do the actual selling of the products. Or you can choose to just market the product for the vendor and get your commission. I’d prefer you buy from the vendor and deliver it to your buyer once the buyer makes payment.  Make sure the actual vendor has the products before you accept payment. This will save you from a lot of stress and disappointments.   

You must as a matter of top priority, discuss affiliate marketing options with the actual vendor. This can make things smoother for you two.

STEP 6. DELIVER ON YOUR PROMISES.

Marketing and sales that last the test of time is by relationship. This is built on trust. Do not disappoint your customers, make them happy. A satisfied customer is the one that returns for the next purchase and the purchase after that. 

If you follow through from steps 1 to 5 and did not practice step 6, you will have issues. This is because step 6 is the cornerstone of Sales and Marketing.
